New HP2 line of Outokumpu at a commissioning stage

Betamet Oy has been an equipment installer in the project of Outokumpu Tornio Works where the old annealing pickling line was dismounted and the new equipment was mounted in place. The preliminary works were started in the summer of 2008, and the actual contract was started in September. There were about 130 fitters altogether on the site during the busiest time.

The Workshop delivered to the site e.g. pickling basins and acid tanks which were manufactured in the workshop of Oulu. Field Engineering, ASTP, Piping and Airtech participated in the contract on the part of the Betamet assemblies.

The main equipment suppliers to the site were: CMI UVK GmbH, Fives DMS, and Drever International.

The commissioning of the line was started on the 16th of March 2009.
