Betamet Piping Oy received New Pipework Project for Power Plant

 
Betamet Piping Oy, a subsidiary company of Betamet, has received a pipework project from Laanilan Voima Oy, which is located close to the factories of Kemira Oyj in Oulu. The project covers the building of a steam network into a pipe bridge, which will be in use of Kemira, and the construction of the pipelines connected to the new turbine of the power plant. The project comprises 8.000 working hours.
 
Betamet Piping Oy also constructed pipelines for a power plant in 2007. The work was conducted for Tornion Voima Oy, which is placed in the area of the factory of Outokumpu Oyj in Tornio. The power plant has 130 megawatts of combined heating and electricity capacity. Betamet Piping Oy built, among other things, steamlines and pipelines for district heating, compressed air and cooling water, and worked on equipment installations. The project comprised 14.000 working hours.
 
In addition to power plant pipelines, the core competences of Betamet Piping Oy are all kinds of pressure vessels accordant with the pressure device regulations, industrial piping installations, as well as pipelines and devices made of special materials. The clientele consists mainly of chemistry, steel, paper, food and pharmaceutical industries, and device suppliers. Customers are for example Metso, Outokumpu, Rautaruukki, Stora Enso, Raisio Chemicals, Kemira, UPM-Kymmene and Fermion.
